Overview

Be touched by the most ancient human culture on earth in a 90-minute leisurely walkabout with an Aboriginal guide in The Rocks Sydney, and journey into DreamTime, the culture of Aboriginal People.

illi-Langi The Rocks Aboriginal Dreaming Tour is 100 per cent Aboriginal-owned and was developed by Aboriginal Elder, Margret Campbell, a Dunghutti – Jerrinjah woman. It is led by Aboriginal guides who have her permission to share her cultural knowledge. The tour gives you the opportunity to discover how the ancient Aboriginal DreamTime is still alive within the modern Sydney landscape and how the billion-year-old harbour, marine environment, sandstone strata, waterways, flora and fauna continue to influence how Aboriginal people live today.

Eye opening!

Amanda was an excellent guide. I learned a ton about the original custodians of the Sydney Harbour. White people need to do more to not only acknowledge this legacy but to try to honor the sustainability and community that is essential to understanding your role in this place.
Worth the time and money

Amanda was a phenomenal tour guide. Her passion and desire to inspire a reconnection with nature was woven into all of her stories. Our entire family agreed the tour was a highlight of our trip to Sydney. Those who do not hear these stories are missing out on the rich culture of people who have so much to teach us about respect, love of nature, sustainability, and balance. We walked away from the tour with new insights and and a genuine desire to do our part to ensure we educate others about the history of the people who first inhabited this land.
Great deal!

One of the highlights of my trip to Sydney. I learned so much about the Aboriginal culture and our guide was very open to questions and discussing the answers in great detail! I would absolutely recommend this trip to anybody visiting Sydney or anybody that lives there that has not experienced it yet. I would give 6 stars if I could!
An enlightening experience

Completed this tour 10th November 2022. Had just been to Uluru were we had done the base walk sunrise tour which was informative but not a patch on Amanda's knowledge, enthusiasm, passion and desire to educate us of her ancestors ways and how they are so meaningful today. Amanda clarified so many things in a way that the lay person could understand and acknowledge. Really felt a connection with what we were being told. Would really recommend this tour to locals and tourists alike. Still feel blessed to have done it and to have met Amanda. Thank you Sheena and Mo
