Overview

Sydney’s Chinatown is full of secrets and excellent restaurants, and on this experience, you’re going to see and taste a bit of everything!

As you explore Chinatown, you’ll be introduced to several Chinese-Australians, starting from the first Chinese settler to arrive in Australia over 200 years ago. Along the way, you’ll sample a range of snacks from some of Chinatown’s best restaurants, with a minimum of 4 food stops included. All snacks are street foods that represent different parts of China and are designed to be eaten on the move.

This tour has a strong focus on uncovering Sydney’s long connection with China, and the contributions Chinese-Australians have made to the community. You’ll learn more in 2 hours about Australia’s Chinese community than you could possibly imagine, and “pub trivia” style games will keep it interactive and fun.

At the end of the tour, you’ll get a souvenir to take home, plus a map and guide to Chinatown, with all the best restaurants and what to order.

What's Included

4 to 5 Chinese regional street food snacks (route dependant)

Photos shared after the tour; A guide to Chinatown’s best restaurants; A special homemade souvenir

Awesome. The gift that keeps giving!

Justin introduced us to some great places and a couple of dishes I’d never have ordered on my own. Plus he pointed out a bunch of street art, some of which I’d previously walked right by without noticing. To top it off Justin also gave us a list of other delicious Chinatown recommendations (restaurants and their signature dish) which I’ve already started ticking off.

Do this tour! I loved it. Justin's passion for food and the Chinese history in both Sydney Chinatown and Australia really comes through. It's a fascinating metaphorical walk through Chinese history in Australia. And an 'actual' walk through some gems of Chinese street foods.

I did the tour with my girlfriend, my elderly mother and her friend. Justin accommodated for 2 vegetarians in our group.

I'm a Sydney local, and it was great to open up a new perspective on a place I thought I was familiar with.
Highly Recommended Food and Walking Tour

Greg and I had the best time doing this tour with Justin. We got to sample food that we wouldn't have normally and heard stories about the influence of the Chinese people in the history of Sydney. We definitely recommend this tour even for Sydneysiders.
