Fun and interesting day out for all

Start your day with a ferry ride from circular quay and then hop on the cable car to top of zoo. It’s a nice zigzag back down through some interesting and fun exhibits.
There’s plenty of shows throughout the day (we watched the birds display - brilliant) and you learn a lot about the animals and the damage we are doing to them and their environment. Food for thought!
Fair bit of building going on at present, gonna be pretty awesome when finished.
A good day out for all ages.
Beautiful place with amazing views

I loved the whole experience, one of my favourite places to visit in Sydney. My granddaughters first time visiting the zoo, their excitement and joy was lovely to watch
Wonderful day out!

The best zoo right in the heart of Sydney! The zoo is home to lots of animals and they offer educational shows throughout the day explaining their conservation program. There is also a fantastic children’s playground. The zoo is easily accessible via car or the ferry across the harbour. Highly recommend taking the cable car back up to the top once you’ve walked around the place (save your legs!).

We had great time with kids. The seal show is very impressive. The view with giraffe and opera house at back is memorable.
Up there with the best!

The trip to the zoo was nothing short of brilliant. A lovely ferry ride from Circular Quay followed by a cable car ride up to the top of the hill at the zoo entry. The zoo itself was lovely, and the views back to the city across the harbour were amazing, however we did find that a lot of the animals were unavailable to see including the lions that had escaped from their enclosure a week or so earlier. The seal show is a not to be missed viewing!
Pleasant afternoon

The ticket price includes the Sky Lift so it is worthwhile. The Zoo was renovating many areas but we still had an enjoyable afternoon.
Animal fun in the sun!

A fun, easy day to spend in a group. I would highly recommend to come here if you have a while in Sydney and weather is good.
Great zoo - great shame they don’t take cash!!

Would have been 5 stars bad it not been for the zoo’s irritating policy of not taking cash for anything - tourists beware! It might suit the zoo, but not all its visitors….

Otherwise, awesome.
Adequate zoo--but not as captivating as reputed
simonmA1122PU, 04-12-2022
A good, but perhaps unremarkable, zoo. The surrounding harbour, although pleasant enough, is a recurring feature of Sydney and thus may fail to captivate attention after a while. A couple of exhibits, such as the tigers, feel slightly contrived; the anticipation sometimes culminates in a mild sense of disappointment as the promise of something unique is not quite realised. Most of the exhibits and pathways are professional but not especially majestic, creative, or wondrous--even in comparison to some other Australian zoos.
Very poor food.

Very very poorly organised foodcourt, and the food was in par with it; tasteless, dry, soggy. whateverbyou do, eat before you get there!
Great View

It was a crowded zoo. I definitely don’t recommend if you’re traveling solo during the holidays. A lot of families as to be expected. Probably great for the kids, just not a millennial. The food was okay. The view was beautiful though. A lot of animals to see, but I didn’t see much of the native Australian animals aside from the kangaroos and koalas since I was eager to leave. Ferry ride was mad crowded.
