Great tour if you drink wine

Jeff was a fun tour guide. I travelled alone but it was still fun to taste wine and talk to other travellers. The wineries were great. I wish the cheese tasting was paired with wine, but having it separate did help to wash out the tipsy-ness.

Excellent Experience

It was an excellent tour. Visited three wineries and a cheese co. All had their individual character. Tasted a wide range of different wines. Steve, our guide gave us an emphatic welcome. He had a great sense of humour and it was fun to listen to his interesting accounts of Hunter Valley and Australia in general.

LOTS of wine, tastings, great food and great host. Best wine tour we have done. Book it!

Myself and my now husband have done quite a few wine tours in our time, and this was definitely the best so far. Our guide Jeff was brilliant, had a great sense of humour and interesting throughout but equally let us just enjoy the day. We went to three different vineyards and tried SO many different wines (I think 6-7 of each!), plus had a cheese tasting, chocolate matching and a really substantial lunch with a glass of wine included too. Honestly the wines were great, it was well executed and we just had the best day. Have already sent a link to a friend of mine and will be back when I’m next in Oz to take my mum too! Thank you!

Superb tour tasting a lot of wines. The cheese and chocolate was lovely too. Our tour guide was excellent as well.

Good wine tasting tour

Very good tour with an excellent tour guide and comfortable coach. Do be aware if you are taking this tour from Sydney, it's a pretty long drive to get there and back making it a long day, however it is well worth it. Lunch was very good and it was nice to mix in a cheese tasting and also one of the wine stops had chocolate pairing with the wines. This was a very pleasant day. Highly recommend.

Full day terrific wine tasting experience

Steve our guide was very informative and the people at the vineyards and the cheese factory were all knowledgeable and able to pass on the information in simple terms which made it a pleasant day. The order of the day was we visited two vineyards followed by cheese tasting then lunch followed by the final vineyard. It would have been better to have the cheese tasting after the first vineyard as we felt having the cheese tasting then lunch so close together that we were not ready for lunch. Otherwise, a very enjoyable day tasting 25 different wines where we all slept on the bus on the way home. Thank you Steve again very enjoyable experience.

Great service; disappointing experience

The trip was definitely fine--competent driver, good use of time, good winery picks. The real issue is with the wine valley itself. The wines are just so...blah, and this has to do with the climate in Hunter Valley, which essentially cooks the grapes to the point that there is not a lot you can do with them. So, if you have a day to waste, go. The cheese tasting was definitely interesting. But, otherwise, save the money for the club?
