Reviews

Very Fascinating
Emma T, 09-12-2022
The design of the aquarium was very inviting and gave a good atmosphere. The aquarium offered a wide variety of sea creatures to admire. The penguin enclosure including an exciting boat ride, giving a good climate experience and enabling close interactions with the penguins. Overall, the visit was educational and engaging.
Spectacular sea life

Fabulous day out, my 6 year old son loved everything especially the sharks and seeing a dugong.
Very easy entry, just scanned my ticket and we walked straight in.
Seeing the sharks up...
Sandra_M, 06-11-2022
Seeing the sharks up close. Also seeing the penguins and all the other creatures that inhabit the warm water around the coral reefs
A great educational and emersive experience

A great immersive experience full of colourful sea life. Because of the allocated time-slots, it never felt too crowded and we didn’t feel rushed going between exhibits.
Family fun

Great displays of the jellyfish. The underwater experience was nice. We enjoyed the day a lot. Great photo opportunities.
Good for kids of all ages

Penguin boat ride was great - manta rays are amazing. Good for kids of all ages. Toilets were a little difficult to locate but otherwise a great family activity.
Marine Life in the Aquarium

Headed into Sealife after visiting Madame Tussauds. I have conflicting views on attractions of this type. They allow me to view animals and creatures that I would not otherwise see or encounter, but they also generate a feeling of sadness in the loss of freedom. I enjoyed my visit here and enjoyed viewing the diverse range of marine life. The Aquarium is well laid out with access ramps leading to various levels and zones and also an underwater tunnel walk. I thought that the magnificent rays were restricted in their habitat and the dugong was in lonely solitude although told it was being rehabilitated from an injury.
Family visit

We went here while on a visit to Sydney with relatives from Adelaide, it was very interesting and fun to visit.
Not worth it the time

Very poor experience. We have seen so much better places. I wish I had gone to the maritime museum instead
Overcrowded and busy.
Kristin_B, 29-12-2022
It was very busy and overcrowded, so that made it had to enjoy looking at everything. We felt like we were being pushed through every exhibit without much time to look. What we did get to see was very nice.
One off good. 2nd time no thanks.

Just above average but couldn't do 3.5. great for kids as a 1 off experience. Wouldn't go again TBH. Mission to get there. Parking a mission. Food ran out in shops. Looks like they had trouble with the overload of people.
Didn't live up to expectations
paulfair, 06-01-2023
We purchased tickets online for the 10:30 entry slot. Looking at the line, an awful lot of other people also seemed to have booked for the same slot. This was evident on entry to the attraction - it was simply too crowded. The attraction also seemed tired looking and there was a fair amount of walking in empty areas between exhibits. Overall, our impression was that our visit did not live up to our expectations and was somewhat disappointing. We have been to better aquariums.

Booked few days ago but couldn’t get the tickets at entry. It took long time before sorted this out which was inconvenient with young kid. If to book directly and issues can be resolved on the spot.
Not worth the effort

This was a waste of time and money. Really not worth a visit. I hate to say this and I understand the conservation side but it's by far the worst we've been to. Appeared run down and lacking in vibrant promotion of the sea life. Pig was the main event and I fell in love with him. It was all a bit lack luster. I know it was a bank holiday but it was packed and full of kids climbing all over the tanks! The tanks were basic and lacked imagination and promotion of the individual species. There's good visual information about each fish but that's all. We left very disappointed. I'm sure the staff are working hard to care for the fish but the whole centre needs more attention and investment.
