What To Expect

Sydney
Start your day with a convenient pick-up from your accommodation in Sydney CBD or a location on request where you will get to meet your professional driver/guide for the day.

When you leave Sydney your driver will discuss the itinerary for the day based on our standard Hunter Valley itinerary you have booked. We certainly want to make the day very memorable, so if we can make any small enhancements we will. From here on all you have to do is sit back and relax, listen to your favorite tunes while your private driver takes you on a day to remember.

Wollombi
When you leave Sydney you will travel through the North-Connex tunnel. One of the longest and deepest road tunnels in Australia with the deepest point reaching to 90 meters beneath Sydney Metro Northwest. From there you will make your way to your first coffee stop at the famous country village of Wollombi. You will have time to pop into the local Wollombi Pub and if you dare, you can try the infamous Dr Jurds Jungle Juice!

Savannah Estate Winery
After leaving Wollombi it is only a short drive to your first wine tasting at Savannah Estate. In Mount View, you’ll feel like you’ve been transported to Provence when you arrive at Mount View Estate. Savannah Estate is the namesake of Savannah Peterson, a third generation winemaker who blends fresh passion for wine with a rich family history in winemaking and tradition. The Peterson's family have been making famed wine in the Hunter Valley region since 1982, beginning with Ian and Shirley Peterson. The family business was carried through by Colin and Judy Peterson, who involved their youngest daughter Savannah in winemaking from a young age.

Hunter Valley
Continue through the picturesque surroundings of the Hunter Valley, and enjoy a 2 course lunch at the newly renovated 4 Pines at the Farm in Hunter Valley.

The countryside from here to Cessnock – one of the larger towns in the Hunter – is like the valley in a snapshot, a mesmerizing union of native forest and neat rows of grapes. Enjoy time to explore the shops, art and attractions of the historic township of Cessnock.

Look beyond the vines and you will discover a region with a rich cultural heritage. Thanks to a thriving community of art and crafts practitioners, the area’s towns and villages offer plenty of ways to connect with the creative arts, whether that’s dropping in at one of the many galleries, meeting the makers at the local markets or even taking up a paintbrush and creating a canvas of your own.
