Our experience with Blue Sky Helicopters was mostly fine. It was easy to find information on the flight and book through the website, the staff were friendly and the once staff turned up (see below) check-in / safety briefing was done efficiently.
The scenic flight itself was great. We had good weather which made for some lovely views. On the flight, the pilot pointed out various landmarks and beaches, and we all had headsets so we could talk to the pilot and ask questions. The helicopter had small windows which could be opened, which was nice as it allowed for some great photos.
I would recommend Blue Sky Helicopters.
The reason this is not a five star review is due to the time we were kept waiting on arrival. We arrived at our appointed time to find the office empty and locked, and the phone number went to a voicemail which didn’t take messages. It was almost 30 minutes before anyone turned up, during which we just had to wait outside and hope someone arrived. We had been really excited for this experience, and it took the shine off a little bit. We did mention the wait at the time, but the staff didn’t seem particularly interested.
