Overview
The in water oyster farm tour will take participants on a boat ride out to Sheridan's family's oyster farm with our farmers. Learn about the evolution of farming and see the current cultivation methods to grow our Sydney rock and Pacific oysters. Following the boat tour of our oyster farm, guests will then put on a waterproof suits we have provided and disembark with our farmers to their own in water table. You will then enjoy a fresh seafood platter where you will learn to open 18 oysters per person with fresh prawns and refreshments.
We welcome BYO if you have a bottle of something special you would like to drink.

Each booking will be taken to their own in water table with 18 Oysters per person as well as some cooked prawns. We welcome BYO alcohol.

Sheridan is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to growing oysters and the different types… she explains the entire farming process as well as how to tell which farming method was used, water conditions, etc solely from how the shell developed. It was all a lot more interesting than I thought it would be and we learned a lot.
The oysters were delicious - some of the best I’ve had (and I go to places solely for oysters at least once a month)…Also, I would have liked to ship the homemade vinaigrette home. It. Was. Amazing.
FYI- If you’re coming from Sydney, you cannot Uber (we learned this last minute and about had to cancel but thankfully Sheridan quickly replied with instructions) - you need to take a train to the Hawkesbury River Station (is a direct, hour long ride from central station, $5 a person). If you contact them ahead of time, they’ll pick you up from this dock instead of the one listed in the pick up section (she graciously did for us). If you are unable to contact them in time, water taxis are available. The ride btwn the docks is about 5 minutes.
