You definitely need to have a long duration for this ticket to be able to make use of every attraction pass. This pass is awesome!
You get to choose your attractions and save with this package.
Great deal. The only downside was finding a location to pick them up and the complete lack of knowledge of the people at the pick up locations. There are no maps, there is no list of places included. Very frustrating.
The pass is a good value as long as you all of it. If you don't use all the days you won't get your moneys worth so plan your adventures out ahead of time. There are easily enough activities on the Pass to go on 2 maybe 3 activities a day depending on how aggressive you are. Be aware attractions do not include transportation and would not recommend for the penguin parade unless you rent your own car. If it's within the CBD you are ok.
We paid 323 per person for a 10 ticket multi-city pass, which works out to be about 33 per person. These are the attractions we went:
Sydney - Opera House, Taronga Zoo, Sydney Tower,
By the way, we went to Blue Mountains on our own. It's worth the trip. If you go on Sundays, the bus ride is only 2.
Gold Coast - Wyndham Cruise Tips: join the afternoon one Catch a Crab Tour Add 20 each person Springbrook National Park and Natural Bridge tourAdd 20 each person Hanlan's Seafood Buffet
Melbourne - Sea Life Aquarium, Left Bank Melbourne restaurant Queen Street Rescue restaurant
We don't have a problem planning the tours. We were in Australia for a total of 12 days and we took domestic flight to and from Gold coast, and Melbourne. But here is my concern, most of the attractions we went actually cost less than 33. The restaurants, for instance, only allows 25 for the food cost, so are some other attractions which only cost 25 or less. But remember, we paid average 33 for each of the attraction!!! The Opera House is a joke. We only spent half an hour touring inside. I figured out if we had instead bought tickets to see a show, it would have cost 40 more but we could actually stay in the theatre to watch the show!
In the end, my husband and I decided that we could have greater flexibility and better use of our budget if we were not stuck with the multi-city pass.
Also, as transportation was not included, it was impossible to go to certain places like the Penguin Parade in Phillips Island. We paid an additional 20 pp to join the Catch a Crab tour. We also paid additional 20 pp for the Natural Bridge and Springbrook Tour. At the time of booking, we were not told that the bridge was under construction. As it turned out, we were not able to walk across the bridge.
If I had to rate the attractions we went: it would be,
Taronga Zoo, Melbourne Sea life Aquarium 5 out of 5
Wyndham Cruise, Left Bank Melbourne and Hanlan Seafood buffet 4 out of 5
Sydney Opera House and Springbrook Tour in Goldcoast - 2 out of 5 not worth going. The other attractions are 3 out of 5 ok
